MBL Technologies is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst - Senior to support complex cybersecurity, cloud security, risk management, and information assurance initiatives for a federal client. This individual will provide senior-level technical expertise across security architecture, security engineering, system authorization, and compliance activities while helping ensure information systems and cloud environments meet applicable federal cybersecurity requirements.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting cybersecurity programs within large federal environments and a strong understanding of security architecture, cloud security, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Authority to Operate (ATO), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and FedRAMP requirements. The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will work closely with government stakeholders and multidisciplinary technical teams to translate customer requirements into actionable security objectives and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide senior-level cybersecurity analysis and technical support across enterprise IT and cloud environments.
- Support security architecture, security engineering, cloud security, and information assurance activities throughout the system lifecycle.
- Analyze customer, mission, and cybersecurity requirements and translate them into actionable technical and security requirements for project and engineering teams.
- Support the planning and execution of IT and cloud design, security, development, systems engineering, and implementation efforts.
- Evaluate system architectures, security controls, and technical solutions to identify cybersecurity risks, compliance gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations regarding cybersecurity solutions within federal and/or commercial environments.
- Lead and support federal Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
- Support cybersecurity architecture, engineering, and authorization activities in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP).
- Assess the implementation and effectiveness of security controls and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
- Develop, review, and maintain security and authorization documentation supporting federal cybersecurity compliance requirements.
- Identify and analyze vulnerabilities, security risks, and compliance deficiencies and coordinate remediation activities with technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with system owners, architects, engineers, developers, cybersecurity personnel, and government stakeholders to integrate security requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
- Ensure cybersecurity activities and solutions align with applicable federal policies, processes, standards, and security frameworks.
- Provide cybersecurity recommendations, technical analysis, status updates, and risk information to project leadership and government stakeholders.
- Support continuous monitoring and continuous improvement activities designed to strengthen security posture, system resilience, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cybersecurity team members as appropriate.

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of Information Security experience, including at least 1 year of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience supporting a large government agency.
- Demonstrated expertise in security architecture and security engineering.
- Experience with project management and coordinating cybersecurity activities across multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements into technical and cybersecurity requirements and effectively communicate those requirements to project teams.
- Experience managing or supporting IT and cloud design, security, development, systems engineering, and implementation efforts.
- Expertise with cybersecurity and security solutions within federal and/or commercial environments.
- Extensive experience supporting federal Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity architecture, engineering, and authorization requirements, including FedRAMP and RMF.
- Strong understanding of applicable federal cybersecurity policies, processes, standards, and frameworks.
- Ability to independently analyze complex cybersecurity issues and develop practical recommendations and solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, program leadership, and government stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a High-Risk Public Trust clearance.

Education & Certification:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration - Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or a related field.
- Certification in one or more of the following: Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III, Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III, Information Assurance System Architects and Engineers (IASAE) Level III.
- IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III certification may be substituted for the relevant bachelor’s degree requirement or four years of relevant experience, as permitted by the position requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience supporting cybersecurity engineering initiatives within large federal agencies.
- Experience designing and securing cloud-based or hybrid enterprise environments.
- Experience integrating cybersecurity requirements throughout the system development lifecycle.
- Experience developing or maintaining security documentation supporting A&A, ATO, RMF, and FedRAMP activities.
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity governance, risk management, compliance, and continuous monitoring processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with government clients and translate mission and business requirements into secure technical solutions.
