SSD Launch and Expansions is looking for a Senior Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic and tactical, cross-functional operations and technology projects associated with Sub Same Day (SSD) facilities. The position focuses on developing quality standards, implementing sustainable solutions, and ensuring compliance with Amazon and food safety regulations in all aspects of new site launch. This collaborative role involves working across teams to drive innovation, optimize system performance, and maintain exceptional high quality delivery at launch.

We are constantly innovating in the ways we are automating and accelerating the delivery of products and packages which includes delivering standard systems and highly technical systems at the highest quality of installation, operation, and long term production.

As a Senior Manager overseeing this space, you will be responsible for understanding the vision of these programs and the potential they have to impact our customers. The scope for this role will include collaboration with SSD Leadership to ensure alignment between Quality and Execution, focusing on streamlining operating procedures and engagement models, developing cross-organizational strategy, and building mechanisms and automation for efficiency.

This role is 50% strategic and 50% field execution. The field is where we will make things happen. Therefore this role will require travel, up to 50% over the full year with up to 80% during our heavy launch season.

Key job responsibilities
- Foster strong relationships with Quality, Design Engineering, and Principal Engineering Teams, building bridges that enable improvement and long-term customer impact.
- Provide field support for SSD sites across assigned geography including support for operations, Construction, StartUp Deployment, field maintenance, and food safety partners.
- Collaborate with Quality and Operations Leadership to prioritize projects and initiatives that will have the greatest impact on our customers.
- Lead technical and complex projects by anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, making tradeoffs, and balancing the business needs.
- Build/maintain/improve the data analytics tools our Quality and Engineering Teams use in their design, prototype, pilot, deployment, and launch work, and be able to analyze data yourself to recommend improvement projects.
- Introduce efficiencies and mechanisms to reduce engagement effort for partner Operations teams.
- Pursue and complete projects that drive overall program growth, quality, and efficacy, and innovate where the programs can do more to deliver a world-class solutions.

A day in the life
In your day-to-day role as an Amazon you will lead Quality Initiatives both for our internal organization and with our cross-functional partners, as we scale across Refrigeration and New Technologies. You will do this by driving Quality with a High Bar leading through a QA lense and QC requirements across Deployment Execution and Customer Hand-Off, deploying QC throughout Change and Risk Management strategies, engaging partners and leaders with Effective Communication, and developing Quality Mechanisms for Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned.

Deployment Execution and Customer Hand-off:
Lead hands-on execution of deployment plans, ensuring seamless integration of automation systems. Monitor processes closely, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage transition to operations, gathering post-deployment feedback for improvements.

Change and Risk Management:
Develop and implement change management strategies, assess deployment plans for risks, and implement contingency plans to meet objectives proactively.

Effective Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and escalating issues to senior management promptly.

Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned:
Conduct post-deployment retrospectives, capture lessons learned, and refine deployment methodologies for ongoing optimization.

Project Management and Integrated Schedule Management:
Responsible for developing and managing integrated project schedules covering all deployment aspects, ensuring alignment and addressing schedule risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reflect dependencies accurately.

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree, or BS degree
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Experience defining and executing program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience prioritizing and delivering projects on time in a fast-moving environment
- Experience in construction, or experience in construction or project management
- degree in advanced technology, or 5+ years of integration, testing and automation experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
