About the Role:

Are you ready to launch your career with a FORTUNE 500® company that helps people feel confident about their financial future? The Ameriprise Financial Business Development - Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a 24-month rotational experience designed to help recent graduates build leadership skills, gain hands-on business experience, and explore career paths in financial services.

Through three 8-month rotations, you’ll work on real projects that impact the business, connect with senior leaders, and receive mentorship and training to support your growth. At the end of the program, you’ll be well-positioned to apply for a full-time role within Ameriprise’s business development organizations.
The Service & Operations team supports the analysis of business processes and works at developing solutions to best support the organization. As an Operations LDP, you will work with team members to support the following areas:

• Service Delivery
• Clearing Operations
• Risk Management
• Advisor, Client, and Employee Experience
• Voice of the Customer
• Service Tool and Workflow Design
• Data Management
• Vendor Management

After exploring the breadth of the business unit(s) through each rotation, LDPs may have the opportunity to post to a permanent position within Ameriprise Financial.

How you’ll spend your time…

Responsibilities may vary based on current rotation and assigned project(s), and typically include:

- Supporting sales initiatives by assisting with advisor outreach, lead generation, and follow-up activities

- Collaborating with team members to improve sales processes and enhance the overall advisor experience

- Conducting basic data analysis to identify sales trends and opportunities for growth

- Helping troubleshoot advisor issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution

- Contributing to program strategy and execution

- Contributing to reporting efforts, tracking performance metrics and preparing summaries for leadership

Required Qualifications:

- Current Senior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or related field

- Graduation date of December 2026 or May/June 2027

- Demonstrated leadership experience

- Commitment to complete the full 24-month Leadership Development Program

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple advisor interactions and priorities

- Clear and confident communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation

- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with leadership to support sales goals and advisor needs

- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite to track leads, prepare presentations, and analyze sales data

Additional Information

The company does not offer corporate undergraduate internships for students with F-1 visas.

In-Office Collaboration

We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $67,000/ year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
