Senior Physical Security Access Control (PACS) Consultant (AMAG Symmetry)

Overview

Inabia is seeking a Senior Physical Security Access Control (PACS) Consultant to provide technical leadership for the implementation, integration, and ongoing support of a next-generation enterprise access control platform. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business and project teams, working closely with vendors and integrators to ensure a scalable, secure, and highly supportable solution. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise with enterprise PACS platforms — preferably AMAG Symmetry — and is comfortable operating across physical security, application architecture, cloud technologies, and enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the implementation, upgrade, and ongoing support of enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
- Serve as the primary technical advisor to business stakeholders and project teams throughout the full PACS platform lifecycle
- Collaborate with vendors, system integrators, and implementation teams to deliver a scalable and secure access control environment
- Administer, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot AMAG Symmetry environments
- Manage badge management, access provisioning, alarms, readers, controllers, and Field Control Panels
- Design and maintain PACS architecture aligned with enterprise security standards and operational requirements
- Support highly available, multi-site PACS deployments across a geographically distributed environment
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagrams
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels regarding system status, issues, and recommendations
- Remain available for critical support events, including after-hours response as required

Key Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience supporting, upgrading, and implementing enterprise Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
- Strong hands-on experience with AMAG Symmetry, including administration, implementation, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated experience with PACS architecture, badge management, access provisioning, alarm management, readers, controllers, and Field Control Panels
- Proven experience working with PACS vendors, system integrators, and cross-functional implementation teams
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience
- Experience with enterprise application integrations and REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience supporting highly available, multi-site enterprise systems
- Strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with cloud technologies and cloud-hosted physical security platforms
- Familiarity with physical security compliance frameworks and industry standards
- Prior experience in a senior consultant or architect capacity within large-scale enterprise environments
