About this role
Job Description
Just imagine defining how the LEGO® Group turns global intellectual property partnerships into long-term commercial growth. Then make it real.
About the role
As our Head of IP Commercial Partnerships, you'll shape the strategic framework that guides how the LEGO Group evaluates, prioritises and unlocks value from some of its most important partner relationships. You'll connect commercial ambition, audience opportunities and go-to-market decisions across markets, channels and functions. This is a leadership role with broad influence, where you'll help define future partnership strategy, guide planning decisions and lead a team of skilled colleagues to deliver meaningful business impact.
Required Qualifications
- Delivered commercial partnership strategies within a globally recognised organisation.
- Led strategic activation planning across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
- Built marketing and commercial programmes within FMCG or a comparable consumer goods environment.
- Applied data and performance insights to inform partnership and business decisions.
- Presented strategic recommendations and commercial outcomes to senior leadership teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applied intellectual property licensing frameworks within commercial partnership environments.
- Navigated entertainment, toy or gaming industries where intellectual property partnerships play a central role.
- Managed global partner portfolios across multiple markets and regions.
What you'll build
- A global commercial IP partnership framework that shapes future go-to-market decisions.
- Strong executive-level relationships with key intellectual property partners.
- Greater alignment between audience planning, product development, marketing priorities and partnership opportunities.
- Commercial planning approaches that help Market Groups maximise business opportunities from partnerships.
- Stronger connections between planning cycles, branded channels and partner strategies.
- A high-performing IP Commercial Partnerships team with the capabilities needed for future success.
If you've worked in a role where you translated partnership strategy into measurable commercial results, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to connect long-term strategic thinking with commercial execution, while influencing outcomes across a complex organisation.
Life on the team
You'll join Markets & Channels Central Marketing, where we help bring together commercial opportunities, audience needs and partner ambitions. Our work is collaborative by nature and relies on strong relationships across the business. We value thoughtful decision-making, clear communication and a leadership style that creates direction, develops capability and helps talented colleagues do their best work. Our hybrid rhythm combines focused individual work with opportunities to come together and solve challenges as a team.
What success looks like
Success isn't defined by the number of partnerships you manage. It's defined by the commercial value those partnerships create. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you'll establish a clear roadmap for how the LEGO Group approaches commercial IP partnerships, strengthen strategic partnerships with key collaborators and help teams make more confident decisions about where and how to invest. You'll work closely with planning teams, Market Groups, Consumer teams and senior leaders to ensure partnership opportunities are translated into meaningful business outcomes.
