In Japan, Microsoft Elevate supports the broader Education sector, including K-12 and Higher Education, by combining AI, cloud, security, and skilling programs to accelerate education, research, and operational transformation.The Digital Cloud & AI Solution Engineer (Azure Data, Education) is a technical sales role responsible for helping education customers envision, design, and validate database, analytics, data governance, and AI solutions. This role leverages Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Azure AI Foundry (including Azure OpenAI), and related technologies to support data integration, analytics, visualization, and AI-driven transformation across education, research, and operations. Responsibilities <ul><li>Microsoft Fabric（OneLake、Data Warehouse、Real-Time Intelligence、BI、Copilot）、Azure Databricks、Azure SQL、Cosmos DB、PostgreSQL、Power BI、Microsoft Purview、Azure AI Foundry（Azure OpenAIを含む）を活用した技術提案、デモ、アーキテクチャ設計を行う。</li><li>教育機関のデータ活用、学習・研究・業務データ統合、データベース/分析基盤モダナイゼーション、生成AI活用、データガバナンスに関する技術的レディネスと実行可能なロードマップを整理する。</li><li>デモ、PoC、ハッカソン、アーキテクチャワークショップを通じて、顧客の技術的意思決定を支援し、セキュアでスケーラブルなデータ/分析基盤の本番展開を加速する。</li><li>データ品質、権限管理、プライバシー、コンプライアンス、コスト、運用管理を考慮したアーキテクチャを設計し、技術的な反論やブロッカーを解決する。</li><li>オンプレミスEDW、Hadoop、BI、既存データベース環境からMicrosoft Cloudのデータ/分析スタックへの移行・近代化を支援する。</li><li>営業チーム、Cloud & AI Specialist、サービス、パートナー、製品/エンジニアリングチームと連携し、Education市場におけるAzure DataおよびData & AI活用の拡大を推進する。</li></ul> <ul><li>Design, demonstrate, and position solutions using Microsoft Fabric including OneLake, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, BI, and Copilot, as well as Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Azure AI Foundry (including Azure OpenAI).</li><li>Assess technical readiness and define practical roadmaps for data utilization, learning, research and operational data integration, database and analytics modernization, generative AI, and data governance.</li><li>Use demos, PoCs, hackathons, and architecture workshops to influence technical decisions and accelerate secure, scalable production deployments of data and analytics platforms.</li><li>Design architectures that address data quality, access control, privacy, compliance, cost, and operations, and resolve technical objections and blockers.</li><li>Help customers migrate and modernize from on-premises EDW, Hadoop, BI, and existing database environments to Microsoft Cloud database and analytics platforms.</li><li>Collaborate with sales teams, Cloud & AI Specialists, services, partners, product teams, and engineering teams to scale Azure Data and Data & AI adoption across the Education market.</li></ul> Qualifications <h1>Required Qualifications</h1><ul><li>技術プリセールス、データエンジニアリング、分析基盤、BI、データベース、AI、クラウドアーキテクチャ、技術コンサルティング、または関連領域で概ね4年以上の経験。</li><li>Microsoft Fabric、Azure Databricks、Azure SQL、Cosmos DB、PostgreSQL、Power BI、Microsoft Purview、Azure AI Foundry（Azure OpenAIを含む）、データガバナンス、分析・可視化に関する基礎的な理解または強い関心。</li><li>顧客の教育・研究・業務上のデータ課題を理解し、データ基盤、分析、AI活用、導入計画、技術的なブロッカー解消策に落とし込む力。</li><li>顧客折衝を日本語で行うための高い日本語コミュニケーション力。英語での読み書き・社内連携に前向きに取り組めること。</li></ul><h1>Preferred Qualifications</h1><ul><li>Python、R、SQLなどのプログラミング/クエリ言語、またはデータ分析・データベース移行・クラウドデータ基盤に関する知識。</li><li>Microsoft Fabric、Azure Databricks、Power BI、データガバナンス、データベース移行、分析基盤モダナイゼーションの実務経験。</li><li>データアーキテクチャ、ガバナンス、AI活用に関する複雑な技術議論、デモ、PoC、ワークショップをリードした経験。</li></ul><h2> Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Approximately 4+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, data engineering, analytics platforms, BI, databases, AI, cloud architecture, technical consulting, or related fields.</li><li>Foundational understanding of or strong interest in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, Azure AI Foundry (including Azure OpenAI), data governance, analytics, and visualization.</li><li>Ability to translate customer education, research, and operational data challenges into data platform, analytics, AI, deployment planning, and technical blocker resolution.</li><li>Strong Japanese communication skills for customer engagement and willingness to collaborate in English where needed.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Knowledge of programming or query languages such as Python, R, or SQL, or experience with data analytics, database migration, or cloud data platforms.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BI, data governance, database migration, or analytics platform modernization.</li><li>Experience leading complex technical discussions, demos, PoCs, workshops, and architecture decisions on data, governance, and AI adoption. </li></ul> This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled. <hr> Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
