About the Role
The Systems Integration Specialist plays a central role in the successful delivery of InOutsource’s Compliance and DealCloud implementations. Sitting at the intersection of technology and client strategy, this person serves as one of the primary technical experts on project teams, working hand-in-hand with business consultants and project managers to help law firms and professional services organizations modernize their risk management and client intake workflows.
This role demands both technical depth and client-facing acuity. The specialist translates complex client requirements into elegant, best-practice solutions, guiding engagements from initial data investigation through go-live and into post-deployment support. Day-to-day work spans data mapping and ETL development, systems integration, infrastructure review, and custom reporting, all executed within a structured methodology refined across hundreds of successful client engagements. Experience with Intapp applications and/or Dell Boomi is especially valuable in this role. This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

- Lead data investigation efforts to assess the current state of client systems, surfacing risks and opportunities before implementation begins.
- Facilitate and participate in client data mapping sessions, ensuring alignment between source systems and target data models.
- Design, develop, and test efficient, well-documented ETL processes for bulk data loads, with attention to accuracy, performance, and long-term maintainability.
- Build and validate ongoing data synchronization routines that keep client environments current and reliable post-deployment.
- Review and advise on on-premises and cloud infrastructure configurations in support of technical implementations, recommending optimizations where appropriate.
- Develop custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), enabling clients to surface the data insights most critical to their workflows.
- Oversee and guide testing cycles, including data validation, integration testing, and remediation, driving toward confident, clean go-lives.
- Participate in vendor-led professional development sessions to stay current on Intapp product developments and roadmap updates.
- Contribute actively to client project and status meetings, clearly communicating technical progress, blockers, and next steps.
- Coordinate with InOutsource project managers and fellow team members to ensure seamless delivery across workstreams.
- Contribute to the ongoing refinement of InOutsource’s repeatable, templated project methodologies, improving the tools and processes the full team depends on.
- Support business development activities by providing technical input on scoping, solution design, and effort estimation for prospective engagements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of law firm practices and the information technology ecosystems common in legal and professional services environments.
- Proven ability to work independently, make sound decisions under ambiguity, and maintain a solution-oriented mindset through complex challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of relational database design principles and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL query development and RESTful API usage.
- Familiarity with constructing and navigating XML and JSON data structures.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Intapp Integration Builder (Integrate) or other components of the Intapp product suite.
- Certification in, or practical experience with the Dell Boomi integration platform.
- Familiarity with computer networking fundamentals and how network topology impacts integration design.
- Exposure to legal industry software beyond Intapp (e.g., matter management, time and billing, document management systems).
- Familiarity with Groovy programming language
