Salary range: $71,718.40 - $85,425.60. Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity. 
Hours per week: 40

As the Alumni Engagement Officer, you’ll be at the heart of designing and delivering innovative programming that celebrates our alumni, supports our students, and strengthens relationships across campus and beyond.
Reporting to the Manager, Alumni Engagement, you’ll lead projects that bring people together—whether through signature events, storytelling, or strategic partnerships. We’re looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, has a sharp eye for detail, and brings a customer-first mindset to everything they do. You’re equal parts relationship builder, project manager, and event  strategist. You’ll work closely with teams across Advancement, Communications, Marketing, SAIT’s schools and departments, and external partners to elevate alumni engagement and showcase the incredible impact of our graduates. How you'll contribute

- Develop, implement, and enhance student and alumni engagement programs that foster meaningful connections and support SAIT's strategic priorities.

- Manage a portfolio of core alumni programs and initiatives, while identifying and launching new opportunities to increase alumni engagement and participation.

- Partner with schools, departments, and campus partners to create impactful alumni experiences, strengthen collaboration, and maximize engagement opportunities.

- Work closely with Advancement Communications to develop and execute communication strategies that promote alumni programs, events, and initiatives.

- Collaborate with fundraising, donor relations, and sponsorship teams to support alumni giving, stewardship activities, sponsorship fulfillment, and recognition programs.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with alumni, students, donors, and community partners, creating valuable networking, mentorship, and engagement opportunities.

- Track and evaluate alumni engagement metrics, using insights to enhance programming and strengthen alumni connections with the institution.

- Support the planning and execution of student, alumni, donor, and institutional events, including orientations, convocation, mentorship programs, and recognition events.

- Coordinate event logistics, registrations, communications, budgets, project timelines, and partner engagement to ensure successful event delivery.

- Prepare event materials, including project briefs, executive briefings, speaking notes, and scripts, while providing exceptional service to alumni and internal partners.

What you bring

- Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Public Relations

- 5-7 years in program development and delivery

- 2-3 years in post-secondary alumni relations, community engagement or communications

Skills:

- Demonstrated experience in communications, customer service, program development, and event planning

- Proven ability to launch initiatives, manage projects, and deliver engaging programs and events

- Strong relationship-building skills with senior leaders, volunteers, alumni, donors, and community partners

- Experience using data, metrics, and technology to evaluate outcomes and drive continuous improvement

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment

- Creative, proactive, and adaptable, with a collaborative approach and passion for innovation

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems

- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and activities
