About the Role
JBS Prime City Feedlot is currently recruiting for a highly motivated, experienced self-starter to demonstrate their skills and experience in this important leadership role in our Livestock team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordination of the Animal Health team in conjunction with the Livestock Supervisor
- Overseeing daily supervision of livestock handling including pen riding, livestock acclimation, hospital treatments and post-mortems
- Administration and accurate record keeping of animal treatments in line with JBS treatment protocols
- Inventory management as required including calibrations, auditing and stocktaking
- Team engagement, development and training in a positive and proactive manner
- Ensuring team compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations
About You
- Previous Livestock handling and/or Feedlot experience
- Strong commitment to animal welfare, health & nutrition
- Previous experience managing and coordinating teams and the associated performance of these teams
- Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills, high levels of self-motivation,
strong planning capabilities and initiative
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience
