Claims Specialist

Claims Specialist (Hybrid - Richmond, VA) Join a fast-growing team transforming the travel industry as a Claims Specialist . This position is hybrid and based in Richmond, Virginia.

Responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional claims service with a focus on empathy, accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Process and manage travel insurance claims from start to finish.
- Respond to incoming calls and digital inquiries from travelers across the U.S. and internationally.
- Provide real-time support for travel-related questions and emergency situations.
- Collect and monitor travel intelligence and relevant updates.
- Communicate with travel, medical, and other service providers as needed.
- Manage customer interactions across phone, email, and chat channels.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally and effectively.
- Complete customer requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve customer experiences.

Qualifications

- 1-3 years of experience in claims processing, insurance, or administrative support.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in claims, assistance, or a similar customer-focused role.
- Medical and/or travel industry experience is a plus.
- Must be local to Richmond, VA and able to work in the office at least three days per week.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
