Director, Manufacturing Engineering

JOB TITLE: Director, Manufacturing Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee the Manufacturing Engineering (ME), Process Engineering (PE), and Industrial Engineering (IE) functions across multiple product platforms.

- Develop and execute the manufacturing engineering strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives, including automation, SMT deployment, equipment management, and fixture/jig fabrication.

- Drive operational excellence by improving productivity, efficiency, quality, cost control, delivery performance, and workplace safety.

- Monitor and achieve engineering KPIs, ensuring capacity and capability planning supports business growth.

- Standardize manufacturing processes and documentation to improve knowledge sharing and process consistency.

- Collaborate with Design, Quality, Operations, AME, IT, and Operational Excellence teams to implement new technologies, continuous improvements, LEAN manufacturing, and best-in-class practices.

- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives.

- Participate in plant setup and expansion projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and meeting customer expectations.

- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing engineering organization through talent acquisition, coaching, succession planning, and career development.

- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive culture while strengthening Thailand manufacturing engineering capabilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Automation, Materials Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

- Minimum 15 years of manufacturing engineering experience within the electronics manufacturing industry.

- At least 10 years of experience in a senior engineering leadership role (Senior Engineering Manager or Engineering Director).

- Strong expertise in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.

- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing automation, process optimization, quality improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Strong people leadership, team development, and stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation, and project management capabilities.

- Professional mindset with strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, and networking abilities.

- Willingness to travel frequently within Asia, particularly to Malaysia, China, and the Philippines.
