We balance risk, cost, employee experience, operational resilience, and long-term planning while continuously enhancing and maintaining our office environments. What’s the Role? As the Workplace Experience Manager, you will lead the workplace experience across Bloomberg’s Tokyo office, ensuring our spaces, services, events, and Front of House operations deliver an exceptional experience for employees, clients, guests, and visitors. You will oversee Front of House and workplace services, events, room reservations, catering, vendor performance, and the operational readiness of Facilities-managed spaces. You will work closely with service partners and internal teams including Security, Facilities, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Audio Visual (A/V) to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and event delivery. A key part of your role will be leading, coaching, and influencing our vendor partner teams, creating a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with Bloomberg’s workplace standards and service expectations. You will also help shape our workplace experience strategy for Tokyo, using workplace data, employee feedback, and operational insights to identify opportunities to improve services, enhance employee engagement, and respond to evolving business needs. As a subject matter expert, you will advise stakeholders and vendors on event planning and execution, room reservations, and ticketing processes, while partnering with engineering and technology teams to enhance workplace systems and operational processes. You will bring sound operational and financial judgment, including experience managing budgets, reviewing and approving vendor invoices, and maintaining appropriate financial controls. Success in this role will require strong stakeholder and vendor management, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and confidence building relationships with business leaders, administrative teams, and regional and global Workplace Experience partners. We’ll Trust You To: Lead day-to-day workplace experience and Front of House operations across the Tokyo office. Oversee events, catering, group visits and VIP arrivals, from planning through execution and post-event review. Lead and influence vendor partner teams, managing service delivery and performance through established KPIs and SLAs. Champion employee experience initiatives and identify opportunities to continuously enhance workplace services. Use workplace data, employee feedback, and operational insights to drive informed decisions and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with business leaders, administrative teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners. Partner with regional and global Workplace Experience teams on workplace programs, strategic initiatives, and best practices. Manage multiple operational priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of service, hospitality, and execution. You’ll Need to Have: Experience in workplace operations, facilities, hospitality, corporate services, or a related high-touch, customer service-oriented environment. Strong knowledge of workplace experience and hospitality practices, including Japanese hospitality culture, service standards, and customer expectations. Experience managing Front of House, workplace services, events, and/or other high-touch operational services. Experience managing third-party vendors and service performance through KPIs and SLAs. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence and professionalism to support senior leaders, clients, and VIP events. Experience using data and workplace technology to identify operational insights and drive improvements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in both Japanese and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
