We are currently seeking ambitious individuals to join our International Wealth and Personal Banking (IWPB) team in the role of Assistant Manager, Business Development working together with colleagues to display HSBC Values and achieve Vision to become the world’s leading international Bank.

Role Purpose

The key responsibility is to identify and acquire new clients under WSB / MM2H / PVIP / REA / Education and etc segment. Facilitate and support Premier account opening process for eligible clients. The job holder also required to identified potential companies to be on-boarded into the LG referral programme and maintain strong relationship with the referral partners to ensure consistent lead flow.

The job holder also needs to plan, organize and execute networking events to build relationship and generate business for Premier account and Mortgage. The job holder needs to conduct regular visit to business partner to foster the relationship. Act as the “door opener” for sales team by arranging introductions and access to corporate offices.

- Accelerate business growth and enhance customer experience by conducting impactful client presentations and fostering relationship with high-potential customers

Customers / Stakeholders

- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, branch staffs and external stakeholders to support business objectives

- Act as a bridge between frontline staffs, management and cross functional departments to ensure smooth execution and alignment with Bank’s direction

Operational Effectiveness & Control

- To safeguard the Bank from loss and always protects the Bank reputation

- Understand and adhere to regulations and regulatory guidance that apply to my role, promptly reporting any breaches in accordance with local procedures.

- Maintain sufficient and effective processes and controls by identifying and mitigating risks and ensure timely escalation and resolution of all control issues and reputation risks.

- Ensure adherence to applicable Global, regional and country standards and policies

- Deliver fair outcomes for customers and support the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

Essential

- Min 2 years’ experience in business development, partnerships event or customer acquisition

- Strong networking, communication and relationship management skills

- Proven ability to generate leads and drive business growth

- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills during roadshow or events

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions

Desired

- Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
