Job Summary
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support the Sovereign Operations Modernization Project (SovOps) by analyzing business processes, requirements, applications, and quality assurance activities. You will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, technical teams, and project stakeholders to support the successful implementation of the SovOps solution.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who will play a key role in understanding and documenting business processes, requirements, and applications related to sovereign operations. The role will also support requirements development, testing activities, User Acceptance Testing, issue resolution, and vendor coordination throughout the project lifecycle. This position will be full-time and hybrid in Mandaluyong City.

The ideal candidate should have strong business analysis experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of banking, accounting, and financial services processes. The candidate should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and technical subject matter experts in a fast-paced project environment.

What You’ll Do

- Conduct an in-depth review and analysis of existing business processes, captured requirements, design specifications, and applications related to sovereign operations
- Develop and maintain additional requirements documentation for the project, as applicable
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into clear and actionable functional requirements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify requirements and identify potential gaps or issues
- Assist in the preparation and review of test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts against defined requirements
- Coordinate with the testing team and assist business users during User Acceptance Testing
- Participate in monitoring, tracking, and managing application defects, issues, and their resolution
- Validate delivered solutions against approved requirements and business expectations
- Engage with vendors regarding requirements elaboration, solution design, quality assurance, testing, and issue resolution
- Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, technical subject matter experts, and integration teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Support project teams in identifying business process improvements and opportunities for enhanced solutions
- Prepare and maintain relevant business analysis and project documentation
- Participate in project meetings, workshops, requirements discussions, testing activities, and other project-related activities
- Provide updates on requirements, testing activities, issues, risks, and project progress to relevant stakeholders
- Perform other related duties and deliverables as required by the project team and ITD supervisor

What You’ll Need

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Accounting, or any related course
- At least 8 years of solid experience in business analysis, including at least 3 years in a senior business analysis role
- At least 5 years of experience in the banking, accounting, or financial services sector
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and documenting business processes
- At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance and testing IT applications
- Good exposure to financial audit and process audit frameworks and practices
- Knowledge of public expenditure and financial accountability frameworks and mechanisms
- Strong understanding of project management and systems development lifecycles
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365, and Power BI
- Proven vendor management experience
- Strong stakeholder communication and management skills
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

Preferred:

- Understanding development processes
- Experience working on enterprise modernization or transformation initiatives
- Experience working with business, technical, and vendor stakeholders in large-scale projects
- Experience supporting requirements analysis, solution design, testing, and User Acceptance Testing

- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
