Role Purpose

We are looking for a Team Leader to join our Protection team.

The role holder is responsible for the efficient running of day-to-day processing operations within the auto access division of our Protection Team in the Life Services Department, monitoring, coaching and guiding team members. It is their responsibility to ensure that all tasks are completed within SLA’s and to an excellent standard.

The role holder will also support and monitor team members performance towards meeting team and individual objectives.

Accountabilities of the Role

- Monitor and oversee the processing of automatic access policies and ensuring quality controls and risk assessments are being completed regularly
- Coaching, supporting and guiding team members towards meeting agreed objectives. Working with the Assistant Manager to carry out performance management reviews & objective setting for team members. Manage all leave (Annual, sick etc.) for the team.
- Provide information to customers regarding their eligibility, cover/benefits, premiums, and options associated with same in a professional and timely manner
- Investigate and resolve complaints from clients
- DAR/Error Investigation where required
- Generating reports for management and board of directors outlining progress of auto access schemes
- Develop and enhance relationships across the business to ensure effective delivery for the team.
- Ensuring procedures are adhered to and identifying where improvements/enhancements to current processes can be made
- Identifying opportunities to make process & system improvement and ensure follow through of these ideas to Management.
- To comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role.
- To maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role.

Skills, Experience and Behavioural Competencies Required

- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a Financial Services organisation, in an environment driven by service levels and deadlines
- APA Life required upon commencement in the role
- Strong knowledge of Protection Products
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- A keen eye for detail and quality
- Demonstrates strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with data sets and build or interpret queries.Interpersonal skills required - communication, planning and organising.

Controlled Function

This role is a ‘controlled function’ as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 Regulations 2011. Any appointment will be conditional on the company being satisfied that the appointee meets the requirements as set out in the Fitness and Probity standards issued by the Central Bank. This requires the company to complete prescribed due diligence to assess the appointee’s fitness and probity.
