Support & Testing Engineer

At Airpelago, we are pioneering the inspection of power grids with drones. We combine modern drone technology, proprietary software, and expertise in drone regulations to help grid owners inspect and get insights about their assets, which our society is dependent on. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a Support & Testing Engineer to be the link between our users in the field and the engineers building the software.

Your mission

Your main focus will be making sure our users succeed with our software - understanding their problems, solving them, and translating recurring issues into concrete input for engineering. You will also spend time in the field, running large-scale tests of our drone automation software to ensure that new software features, drone platforms, or payloads actually work in the real world before release.

Responsibilities

● Support our users - pilots, operators and grid owners - with our software, from first question to resolution.

● Help onboard new users and customers on our system.

● Feed structured insights from the field back into product and engineering priorities.

● Plan and execute large-scale field testing of our drone automation software.

● Document, reproduce and prioritize bugs, with enough technical detail that engineers can act on them.

● Build and maintain test procedures, checklists and reporting so results are comparable over time.

● Maintain support documentation, guides and internal knowledge.

● Make smaller fixes, scripts and tooling yourself, using AI-assisted development tools where helpful.

What we're looking for

● Experience in a technical and customer-facing support role.

● Post-secondary education in a relevant field.

● A genuine service mindset - you take full ownership of the user's problem until it is solved.

● Tech-savvy and hands-on - you enjoy digging into logs, configurations, and data to find root causes, and you're comfortable making smaller code changes or using AI tools to solve problems.

● Structured and methodical mindset, especially when testing at scale.

● A valid B driver’s license, with comfort working outdoors and travelling for field testing.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English, with the ability to explain technical things clearly to non-technical users.

As we work with grid owners across Europe, additional languages (especially French, German, or Spanish) are a big plus. Experience with drones, a pilot certificate, or a background in field service/QA will make us even happier. However, your attitude, curiosity, and problem-solving ability are what matter most to us!
