Our Asset Monitoring Platform (AMP) provides real-time insights into the condition of networks through IoT technology. This enables our clients to monitor their assets more efficiently, resolve faults faster, and plan maintenance more effectively.​

Our Teleport team focuses on increasing flexibility in the electricity grid. With our Teleport Gateway, owners of renewable energy sources and batteries can smartly control their assets and better respond to fluctuations in supply and demand. This helps both grid operators and energy producers accelerate the energy transition.​

Your position as Project manager EMS

The Project Manager EMS is a key technical, commercial and operational bridge at Withthegrid. In this role, you lead scoping complex, utility scale projects for our Teleport on-site energy management system, ensuring we can deliver on what we promise. Once projects move to the implementation phase, you take responsibility for delivering the project according to the plan, working with our team of skilled engineers.

You operate at the critical intersection of our commercial, development, and operations departments. For our customers, you will be the main representative of Need some more here to cover what isn’t explained below.

What you’ll do

- Pre-Sales Scoping & Technical Architecture: Lead technical discovery and scoping for complex commercial deals. Understand customer requirements, define clear project boundaries and ensure total technical feasibility before contracts are signed.

- Project Planning: Prepare a work breakdown structure and ensure resources are allocated accordingly within teams.

- Risk & Quality Management: Facilitate structured risk assessments for high-profile projects and manage risks throughout project execution. Use project learnings to further improve our way of working.

- Stakeholder Management: Be the face of Withthegrid towards customer stakeholders (project managers, asset managers, technical staff). Manage interfaces with third-party stakeholders (network engineers, EPC contractors, grid operators, grid compliance specialists) to ensure a seamless integration of the Teleport in the overall project

- Acceptance Testing: Prepare testing protocols in line with our quality standards and customer expectations. Supervise acceptance tests performed by our operation engineers.

- Operational Handover: After customer acceptance, ensure a high-quality handover to the operational phase.

Who we’re looking for

- You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Science, Systems Engineering, or another technical discipline.

- You bring 2+ years of experience in a technical project management, solutions engineering, or systems engineering role—ideally in the energy industry.

- You have experience translating customer requirements into clear, bounded technical specifications.

- You are comfortable around technical topics like grid compliance or network architectures; you don’t need to be the expert but you need to know enough to ask the right questions.

- You thrive in an autonomous, fast-scaling scale-up environment where you enjoy building the playbook rather than just following one.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Dutch and English (essential for working with Dutch grid operators and international partners).

- Strong plus: Domain knowledge of electricity grid operations, renewable energy assets (BESS, solar, wind), industrial protocols (Modbus, IEC 60870-5-104), or I/OTT networking.

- Plus: Proficiency in German.
