## About the role

The role is responsible for leading the strategic engagement with Egyptian governmental bodies to secure necessary Operational Licenses, navigate legal requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (NFSA, Ministry of Health. Employment office etc….)

Simultaneously the role manages the overall safety and security of all factory operated premises and assets, including but not limited to , security personnel, access control and surveillance.

The scope of the role also covers the need to inform the development of contract labour strategies and  personnel transportation arrangements.

## Key responsibilities

Leadership

- In conjunction with the other members of the Site Leadership Team contribute to the development of site strategy, execution and management of change.
- As a Senior Leader, lead by example, instilling our values and standards in others at all levels across the site.
- Sound Decision making is a critical part of the role ensuring clarity and accuracy of information that is necessary to share with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Activities

- Assess current security arrangements and prepare a plan to upgrade to a reliable professional service that meets our needs.
- Provide a solution to upgrade our surveillance system to include coverage of all premises , controlled access etc etc.
- Direct the Government Affairs Specialist Team ensuring all certifications, permits, operating licenses etc… are up to date including being the focal point for all interactions with government bodies, including NFSA, GOEIC and local police.
- Analyze changes in Egyptian Legislation, labour laws, and food industry regulations, informing senior managers of potential impacts
- Facilitate and manage official inspections and audits.
- Develop a strategy to move away from our current third party supplier of security, surveillance, govt relations, casual labour and personnel transportation services.
- Support the implementation of the Kerry COI documentation procedure
- Align with Central Procurement to play a key role in assessing the security and trusting reliability of our local suppliers
- Assess the effectiveness of current warehouse contracts and scope of services provided. This will be in conjunction with Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
- Assess and present mitigations to protect our Food Security including risk of sabotage.
- Support Human Resources in assessing Employee relations especially in relation to any issues that could lead to business disruption eg. Strike Action.
- Support the development of an effective strategy for office facilities management.

## Qualifications and skills

- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in legal, compliance, and corporate administration roles, preferably within a multinational or manufacturing/FMCG environment.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, governance, labor law, and risk management.
- Experience managing relationships with  government authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance frameworks, policies, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and administrative functions.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
