Fleet Manager (Dedicated)

We're looking for a Fleet Manager (Dedicated) to join our team! In this role, you'll coordinate freight planning, driver assignments, and equipment utilization for a Dedicated Trucking division. You'll help maximize driver and fleet productivity, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers. You'll serve as a key point of contact for drivers while supporting day-to-day operational success and customer satisfaction.

Hiring Range: Starting at $64,000 - $70,000+ (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Charlotte, NC on-site

Schedule: 1st shift

What You'll Do

- Plan and assign loads to maximize driver and equipment utilization while meeting customer expectations.

- Monitor driver hours of service and ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

- Manage driver schedules, home time requests, and mileage expectations.

- Coordinate scheduled truck maintenance with the Maintenance Department.

- Track high-security shipments and ensure compliance with company requirements.

- Respond to driver, customer, and supplier inquiries.

- Coordinate appointments with customers, brokers, shippers, and consignees.

- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize equipment utilization and operational performance.

- Manage driver payroll-related items, including advances, layovers, and non-driving pay.

- Communicate driver status changes to Safety, Payroll, Maintenance, and other departments.

- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to direct reports while fostering employee development and engagement.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience

- Associate degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.

- 3+ years of experience as a Fleet Manager or Dispatcher.

- Experience with TMW, Omnitracs, and Qualcomm systems.

- Extensive knowledge of DOT compliance regulations, hours of service requirements, controlled substance policies, and vehicle compliance standards.

About the Role

The expected starting salary for this position is $64,000 - $70,000 per year, based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
