About this role
The Supply Chain Capacity Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing capacity and production reports to support manufacturing operations and supply chain decision-making. This role focuses on evaluating capacity across multiple constrained resources—including labor, equipment, and materials—to ensure alignment with demand and production goals.
The position works extensively with Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools to organize, validate, and automate reporting processes, providing accurate and timely visibility into production capacity, constraints, and utilization.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, experienced in manufacturing environments, and skilled at translating complex operational data into actionable insights that improve throughput, efficiency, and service levels.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
VLookup/HLookup/XLookup
- Nested formulas
- Pivot tables and charts
- Experience working with large datasets and building structured reports in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Strong understanding of capacity planning concepts and production processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorization from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements .
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environments with multiple resource constraints (labor, equipment, materials).
- Proven experience automating capacity or operational reporting processes.
- Familiarity with ERP and manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MES systems).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and/or advanced Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA).
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of S&OP, production scheduling, and inventory planning processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex operational data into actionable insights.
