About you and this role

The Industrial & Chemical Processing segment, part of Dow Consumer Solutions, delivers silicone-based technologies that help customers to enhance formulation performance, improve process efficiency and advance their sustainability goals. Our portfolio includes antifoams, process additives, specialty emulsions, and other performance solutions serving markets such as textiles, leather, pulp and paper, coatings, food processing, release applications, and specialty chemical processing.

As part of our Marketing team, we are seeking a Market Segment Manager, Industrial & Chemical Processing EMEA to define and execute profitable growth strategies across assigned application markets in EMEA. The preferred location is Seneffe, Belgium; Milan, Italy may also be considered.

In this B2B marketing role, you will identify attractive market opportunities, develop customer and value-chain insights, shape portfolio and innovation priorities, and lead commercialization. Working closely with Sales, Technical Service & Development, R&D, Product Management, and channel partners, you will translate technical differentiation into compelling customer value propositions and profitable growth.

This position offers the opportunity to influence market strategy, shape the future direction of the business, and work directly with customers, formulators, distributors and industry leaders across EMEA.

Responsibilities

- Lead cross-functional market management activities to define and execute growth strategies across Industrial & Chemical Processing markets in EMEA.
- Develop market strategies, growth roadmaps, and commercial priorities based on customer needs, market trends, competitive dynamics, and business objectives.
- Conduct market, customer and value-chain analyses to identify growth opportunities, priority applications, and unmet market needs.
- Translate market insights into differentiated value propositions, portfolio priorities, pricing recommendations and customer segmentation.
- Partner with Sales, TS&D, R&D, and Product Management to prioritize and commercialize new products, technologies, and application opportunities.
- Build strategic relationships with customers, formulators, distributors, channel partners, and industry stakeholders to strengthen market intimacy and uncover emerging opportunities.
- Monitor market performance, sustainability and regulatory developments, competitive activity, and innovation adoption to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, engineering, business, marketing, or related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in strategic marketing, market development, product management, business development, commercial leadership, or a related B2B role.
- Experience in specialty chemicals, performance materials, formulation ingredients, industrial processing, or another technically differentiated B2B industry.
- Knowledge of at least one relevant market segment, including textiles, leather, pulp and paper, coatings or specialty chemical processing.
- Demonstrated ability to translate market and customer insights into growth strategies, portfolio choices, innovation priorities, and commercial actions.
- Strong commercial acumen, including market segmentation, competitive positioning, pricing, profitability, and customer value creation.
- Experience driving innovation commercialization and portfolio growth through customer engagement, value-based selling, and effective collaboration across cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Fluency in English and additional European language is a plus.
