Clean Energy Manager Building Electrification Integration Strategy

Con Edisons Customer Clean Energy Programs team is seeking a Building Electrification Strategy Manager to oversee and develop the companys building electrification strategy. The manager will be responsible for driving business and process improvements that advance the companys electrification transition goals and enhances the customer experience. The manager will lead research engagements and steer cross-team collaboration and thought on how the company and customer programs manage customer affordability and grid readiness to deliver on electrification goals. The role requires a manager who can foster meaningful relationships across internal and external stakeholders, is experienced in leading ambitious research initiatives, disseminating findings across the Company, translating insights into concrete recommendations for action, and leading implementation efforts as needed.

The role calls for technical understanding of building electrification and other clean energy technologies as well as demonstrated research and analytical abilities, written and verbal communication, project management experience, and curious mindset. This role provides the opportunity to learn about Con Edisons clean energy investments and overall business model, understand how the traditional utility processes are evolving, and shape how the Company is preparing for the electrified future.

Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant work experience.

Relevant Work Experience
- Proven success in designing and executing research projects using large datasets and making recommendations based on findings. Required.
- Proven success in communicating complex topics to diverse stakeholders through emails, slide decks, and verbal presentations. Required.
- Demonstrated project management and vendor management experience, with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders. Required.
- Demonstrated agility and flexibility in dealing with ambiguity and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Required.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills. Required.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred.
- Proficiency with Power BI or similar data visualization software. Preferred.
- Familiarity with Python or similar coding languages. Preferred.
- Proficiency in geographic information systems, such as ArcGIS. Preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of heat pump and/or other HVAC technologies. Preferred.
- Technical understanding of Con Edisons electric system. Preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Customer Clean Energy Programs and the Clean Energy Commitment. Preferred.
- Demonstrated learning agility, with the ability to acquire new knowledge quickly and develop subject matter expertise. Preferred.
- Familiarity with or experience using energy industry data, clean energy program data, and housing and building data. Preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
