ProMach is excited to welcome the next generation of engineering talent through our 2027 Summer Internship Program. As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to support the design, development, and improvement of packaging machinery and automation equipment.

This internship provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and the opportunity to apply engineering principles to real-world projects while developing technical, professional, and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Do

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will:

- Assist with the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for packaging equipment
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
- Support the development of machine layouts, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with engineers to improve machine performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Assist with prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities
- Conduct research and analysis to support product improvements and new product development initiatives
- Help maintain engineering documentation, bills of materials, and technical specifications
- Support cross-functional teams including manufacturing, controls engineering, and project management
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards

Who We're Looking For

- Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline at an accredited university
- Strong ability to learn new concepts, technologies, and processes in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D and 3D; experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus
- Basic understanding of mechanical design principles, machine components, and mechanical systems
- Exposure to 3D modeling and simulation tools such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
- Ability to interpret and create technical drawings and specifications in accordance with industry standards such as ASME and ISO
- Foundational knowledge of engineering materials and common manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify design issues and opportunities for improvement
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technologies
- Ability to analyze information, identify solutions, and make sound decisions
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and professionalism
- Eagerness to learn, seek feedback, and share knowledge with others
- Ability to work effectively in situations with ambiguity and changing requirements
