Internship Summary

Logistics Plus is looking for highly motivated college students who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in the logistics industry. Our Logistics Operations Internship provides students the opportunity to work alongside experienced team members and contribute to real-world customer shipments, projects, and operational processes.

Internship opportunities may be available across several of our divisions and service areas, including International Air & Ocean, Domestic Freight, Project Cargo, Importer of Record (IOR), FF&E, and other specialized logistics operations . Specific responsibilities will vary based on team placement, allowing interns to gain experience in different areas of the global supply chain.

All majors are welcome to apply. We are looking for students who are curious, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and ready to learn.

What You May Work On

Depending on your team placement, responsibilities may include:

- Supporting day-to-day logistics operations from initial customer requests through final delivery

- Tracking and monitoring domestic and international shipments to help ensure timely and accurate delivery

- Communicating with customers, carriers, overseas agents, vendors, and other partners regarding shipment status and operational needs

- Assisting with quoting, routing, rating, carrier selection, dispatch, and shipment tracing

- Entering and maintaining shipment, customer, cargo, and financial information in company systems

- Preparing, reviewing, and processing shipping documents, invoices, permits, and import/export documentation

- Supporting international air and ocean import and export operations

- Assisting with Importer of Record processes and maintaining accurate transaction records

- Working with operations teams to evaluate pricing, shipping lanes, carrier options, and opportunities for optimization

- Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, carriers, vendors, and overseas partners

- Preparing shipment, operational, and financial reports for customers and internal teams

- Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and collaborating with team members on potential solutions

- Supporting FF&E projects through sourcing, sampling, budgeting, purchasing, documentation, and vendor coordination

- Assisting with the selection and coordination of furniture, fixtures, equipment, fabrics, finishes, artwork, lighting, flooring, and other project materials

- Participating in team meetings, project reviews, and other activities related to customer and operational needs

- Supporting additional projects and responsibilities based on the needs of your assigned team

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges

Internship Schedule & Location

Interns will have flexible scheduling between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday .

Internships will be on site at our Headquarters in Eries historic Union Station .

The Summer 2027 Internship Program will run from May 2027 through August 2027 , with flexibility based on individual college or university start and end dates.
