Riverside Hotel is seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer focused Cafe Service Attendant to provide outstanding service in our hotel cafe.
The Cafe Service Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service in the hotel's caf by preparing and serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensuring a welcoming dining experience for all guests. This position plays a key role in enhancing guest satisfaction through friendly, efficient, and professional service.
What You'll Do
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders and process transactions accurately.
- Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and light food items according to established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the caf, dining area, service stations, and equipment.
- Restock food, beverages, utensils, and supplies as needed.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and food preparation equipment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Monitor guest seating areas and assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
- Remove trash and recyclables in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Assist with basic food preparation and other caf operations as directed.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns in a courteous manner.
- Support hotel and departmental goals through teamwork and cooperation.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Previous food service, cafe, restaurant, or hotel experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Able to work weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & Work Environment:
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, equipment, work areas, guest seating, restrooms, and floors.
- Assist with basic food preparation as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. regularly and push or pull carts and equipment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and reach throughout the shift.
- Capable of placing supplies on low and high shelves.
- Requires good communication, vision, hearing, and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work safely in varying temperatures, including freezers and kitchen environments.
- Must be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations and maintain a safe work environment.
