About this role

POSITION OBJECTIVE

- The Junior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist is responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's IT environment. This role supports the Security Operations by analyzing security events, managing incidents, maintaining security tools, and helping protect critical systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES:

- SIEM - Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security alerts or anomalies using established tools.
- IAM - manage basic tickets investigation
- XDR - Triage and handle basic security issues and support initial incident response tasks.
- VM Assist in running routine vulnerability scans and verifying system patches. [CVE]
- Maintain and update security documentation, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Executes established procedures and operational playbooks.
- Escalates complex threats, anomalies, or policy violations to senior engineers.
- Decision-making authority is limited to routine system administration and clearly defined, self-contained tasks.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- Fundamentals for:

OSI Model,
- EDR tools,
- basic Windows/Linux administration

- IT ticketing workflows.
- core security concepts.
- introductory scripting (Python, Bash)
- Analytical approach to resolving critical faults under pressure.
- Rigorous approach to software/hardware implementation and debugging.
- Openness to new technologies, artificial intelligence and digital tools.
- Strong sense of responsibility in adhering to industrial safety standards.
- Developing sense of prioritization and escalation
- Continuous improvement on learning functional and technical documents
- Adaptation to collaborate on global landscape by de-escalation and empathy

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree related to the area
- 1 to 3 years of experience
- Technical and conversational English, essential for understanding manuals and software.
