Title: Materials Coordinator
Location: Niagara Falls, NY
Salary: $90,000 -$111,800
Schedule: 9/80 or 5-8s
Focus: The Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels in warehouse areas as well as improving shipping performance, quality, and reliability. This role will coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials by owning the "waiting on materials" backlog of planned maintenance work in SAP. The Materials Coordinator will also analyze inventory data to identify trends, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Functions:
- Develop, review, and revise metrics/measurements that monitor key plant inventory control points and quality control points
- Identify improvement opportunities through customer feedback and through programs driven by the business
- Work with activity scheduler on COA issues and with carriers & loaders on prior content issues
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for S4 Warehouse Management System; QN focal point for damaged/return material and customer complaints; Procurement Liaison for Packaged Supplies (labels, pallets, caps, etc.)
- Work with master data team/procurement to set up new materials in S4
- Evaluate inventory trends to improve stock efficiency, limit excess materials, and drive operational improvements
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree* in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in production or maintenance in a chemical manufacturing environment required
- Warehouse material handling or other relevant experience preferred
- Must be able to work call-ins and overtime when support is needed
- Availability to work shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
- Proficiency with SAP preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications required
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
