Job Requirements:

- Associate’s degree or Diploma in Business, Healthcare, or other related field
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Certified Healthcare Access Manager
- Certified Health Finance Manager or other healthcare certification
- Experience with payer contracts and denials and appeals processes
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Epic, etc.
- Knowledge of healthcare rules/regulations for government and commercial payment
- Project management
- HFMA, AAHAM, NAHAM, MGMA
- 3-4 years’ experience Professional Healthcare Revenue Cycle
- Healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environments required
- 5-7 years’ experience Management Healthcare

Job Overview:

Summary: This position will supervise front line staff within a specific area of the larger Revenue Cycle team, as well as be a working supervisor when needed, to ensure the department is properly staffed to meet business obligations. The candidate will work to provide excellent customer experience and successful team outputs, as measured by key performance indicator results. This will be accomplished through recruitment and retention of high performers and performance management efforts when necessary and ensuring a safe environment for team members and customers, fostering teamwork and team development and being a good steward of TriHealth resources. Candidates should be positive, energetic, self-motivated and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience in denials, clinical terminology, payer contracts and medical policy is required and a current license as an LPN or RN is preferred. Knowledge and/or experience in other areas of revenue cycle (PAS, HIM, PFS) is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

- Supervise Daily Operations: (a) All activities associated with staffing high performing team members to meet business needs and guard the TriHealth culture, including recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, coaching, retaining, performance management.
- Financial Stewardship: (a) Assists in the budget preparation process as necessary; (b) Approves expenditures within delegated authority; (c) Act as a steward of TriHealth resources; (d) Monitor department expenses compared to budget.
- Teamwork: (a) Responsible for educating team members to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; (b) setting team member level goals and accountability; (c) celebrating individual and/or team successes; (d) coaching, mentoring and/or performance counseling.
- Risk Management: (a) Identify and evaluate risks to the organizations people, property, finances, goodwill and image and implement measures to mitigate risk and escalates as necessary; (b) Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.

Work Environment: Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Work is performed in an office environment.
Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.

Able to effectively manage exposure to potentially infectious material per OSHA guidelines.
