About the role

Core regulatory role responsible for leading the end‑to‑end NMPA registration of imported medical devices into the China market, integrating regulatory compliance, technical documentation, authority engagement, and project management to ensure compliant product launch and full lifecycle compliance. The role also covers regulatory compliance for general products such as personal lubricants and toys, ensuring compliant market entry and lifecycle management .

Your responsibilities

- Accountable for regulatory affairs management of BPK, BPL, and EMO products exported to China, ensuring compliant execution of NPD and EPD projects and maintaining BPK condom registrations throughout the product lifecycle.

- Lead regulatory affairs activities for RBH China and SSL Shanghai, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, supporting GSP adherence, and facilitating successful inspections by competent authorities.

- Oversee medical devices adverse event (AE) monitoring in China, ensuring timely investigation, assessment, and closure in compliance with local regulations.

- Manage regulatory compliance across product portfolios (e.g., condoms, lubricants, toys), supporting product launches through standards, labelling, packaging, and promotional material reviews.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders to enable successful commercialization.

- Represent the company in regulatory forums and industry activities, contributing to the development and revision of national, industry, and group standards.

- Monitor regulatory and policy changes, supporting business teams in risk identification, impact assessment, and development of mitigation strategies.

- Drive compliance and quality system alignment, supporting audits, deviation management, and ensuring adherence to global policies, SOPs, and work instructions, including development of local SOPs.

- Provide regulatory advisory support, enabling informed decision‑making on standards, regulations, and compliance readiness.

- Collaborate with global and local teams to align regulatory strategies, drive process improvements, deliver training, and ensure effective rollout of regulatory updates.

The experience we're looking for

- Education & Background

Bachelor’s degree or above in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Bioscience, or related fields; minimum 5 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical registration, preferably within an MNC environment.

- Regulatory & Technical Expertise

Strong knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, local/regional regulatory processes, and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485). Experience with imported medical device registration and quality systems is preferred.

- Project & Stakeholder Management

Proven experience in project management, time management, and the ability to negotiate and collaborate across cross‑functional teams (internal/external stakeholders).

- Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work in diverse and multicultural environments, build trust, and influence stakeholders effectively.

- Leadership & Problem‑Solving Capability

Demonstrated ability to lead planning, problem‑solving, and decision‑making activities, driving results under tight timelines and ensuring high‑quality outcomes.

- Business & Regulatory Insight

Good understanding of local regulatory environment, industry landscape, and authority structures, with the ability to provide regulatory insights to support business decisions and ensure compliance with product and procedural requirements.
