ExcelPrep offers two distinct programs designed to meet the needs of diverse learners ages 3–13:
PreK–8 Academic Program
Our PreK–8 Academic Program is grounded in Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching. Instruction focuses on core academic skills—reading, writing, and mathematics—using explicit, systematic teaching methods that emphasize mastery, fluency, and generalization. This program is designed for students with learning disabilities and neurodiverse profiles who benefit from structured, data-driven instruction.
Clinical ABA Program (Ages 3–13)
Our ABA Program is cognition-linguistically based, emphasizing within a structured instructional environment. The program integrates Applied Behavior Analysis with teaching strategies that support language development, reasoning, executive functioning, and social competence. Instruction is individualized, data-driven, and focused on building foundational skills that support learning, communication, and independence.
Across Excel programs, we center:
- Direct Instruction and instructional design
- Precision Teaching and data-based decision making
- Instruction grounded in behavior science research
- Occupational Therapy as a prioritized therapy alongside ABA in support of sensory motor development

Position Summary
ExcelPrep Schools is seeking a dependable, polished, and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our Bloomington, IL location. This role serves as a key point of contact for staff, families, and visitors while helping ensure smooth and efficient administrative operations across the school.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, welcoming, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support to school leadership and program staff
- Answer phones, return messages, and respond to email inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Greet families, staff, and visitors and assist with front office needs
- Maintain organized student, staff, and program records in accordance with confidentiality requirements
- Assist with data entry, filing, document preparation, and internal reporting
- Support scheduling for meetings, appointments, and school/program activities
- Coordinate office supplies, forms, and administrative materials
- Support communication between families, instructional staff, and service providers
- Assist with onboarding paperwork, internal tracking, and general administrative processes
- Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior administrative, receptionist, or office support experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a school, clinic, healthcare, or child-centered setting
- Familiarity with scheduling systems, student records, or education-related administrative work
- Experience supporting children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
