About this role
- Work with production supervisors/Managers to improve efficiencies and through-put.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis for problem solving.
- To make optimum utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to assist in preparing the feasibility studies and ensure that the costs incurred are justified
- To evaluate various improvements that need to be done and create value analysis and to look out for ways to reduce the costs in the engineering and manufacturing applications
- Identify methodology and processes in an effort to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Manage major projects using Project Management programs, including management of outside vendors to facilitate timely completion.
- Manage outside resources that have been identified with related projects.
- Lead 5S/Continuous Improvement teams during Kaizen events.
- Assist in training of personnel in new equipment start up.
- Troubleshoot problems as necessary.
- Use of time & motions studies to ensure optimum and accurate standards for new and existing products.
- Assist in analyzing and selecting equipment to be purchased.
- Identify processes where automation may be justified.
- Lead training of personnel in new equipment start-up.
- Work with Product Engineering on manufacturability of product.
