SUMMARY

The Experiential Education and Career Pathways Coordinator (EECPC) develops and coordinates experiential learning and career pathway opportunities that support student retention, completion, workforce readiness, and employment outcomes, with an emphasis on adult learners. The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the College and employers, community organizations, and workforce partners to expand internships, work-based learning opportunities, and career preparation services. The position directly supports SUNY Reconnect and other workforce initiatives through employer engagement, student advising, program assessment, and outcome tracking.

This is a professional 12-month position with some evening and weekend hours required.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

2. Minimum of three years of professional experience in higher education, workforce development, career services, experiential learning, employer relations, student success, or a related field.

3. Experience working with diverse student populations, including adult learners.

4. Experience with data collection, reporting, assessment, and program evaluation preferred.

5. Knowledge of experiential learning and workforce development best practices preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY

- Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to collaborate with employers, community organizations, faculty, staff, and students.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data for reporting and assessment purposes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student information, career management, or data tracking systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop, coordinate, and expand internships and other experiential learning opportunities for students.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with employers, community organizations, and workforce agencies.
- Assist students with career exploration, career readiness, internship placement, and job search activities.
- Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to support experiential learning and workforce-aligned programming.
- Coordinate internship agreements, placements, and related documentation.
- Organize and support career-related workshops, events, employer visits, and networking opportunities.
- Track and report data related to experiential learning participation, workforce partnerships, and employment outcomes.
- Support SUNY Reconnect and other workforce development initiatives through employer engagement and career pathway development.
- Promote experiential learning opportunities and career services to students and external stakeholders.
- Provide services during evening and weekend hours as necessary to meet student needs.
- Perform other related professional duties as assigned by the VPAA or designee.
