Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Chimney & Masonry Apprentices for projects located in or around Portage, IN. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $22-$25/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Perform chimney inspections and chimney sweeping services
- Assist with fireplace and chimney liner installations
- Complete concrete crown repairs and chimney waterproofing
- Perform tuckpointing, bricklaying, and masonry repairs
- Install chimney caps and chase covers
- Assist with flashing repairs and complete chimney rebuilds
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Support experienced technicians with repair and restoration projects
Requirements:
- Previous chimney, masonry, concrete, construction, or restoration experience preferred
- Candidates with concrete, bricklaying, masonry, or related construction experience are encouraged to apply
- Willingness to learn and develop new trade skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
