About this role

St. Jude is seeking an Epic Clinical Applications Analyst (Senior or Level II) to join the Clinical Applications Epic Inpatient Team. This role supports inpatient clinical workflows through Epic optimization, system configuration, application maintenance, testing, upgrades, issue resolution, and collaboration with operational and clinical stakeholders.

The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for Epic inpatient applications and contribute to the delivery of efficient, high-quality patient care through technology solutions and workflow enhancements.

This position may be eligible for remote work. However, St. Jude requires all remote employees to:
-Travel to our Memphis campus for the interview process and/or orientation, if selected
-Travel to Memphis to work on-site for one week per quarter, or as requested based on business needs, if hired.

Senior Level:

Job Responsibilities

- Proactively engage with stakeholders and vendors to support the delivery of solutions aligned with business plans.
- Partner with business stakeholders and IT peers to develop and communicate strategic vision and initiatives.
- Oversee requirements management, including new demands and escalations for operational requests within assigned departments.
- Lead education efforts related to IT strategy, services, capabilities, change management, and communications.
- Develop and implement IT change and communication plans across assigned departments.
- Create business cases and project proposals based on departmental roadmaps and priorities.
- Develop and present project materials, presentations, and documentation to stakeholders.
- Assist with project management responsibilities as needed.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members regarding processes, systems, and service capabilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education and/or Training

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.

Minimum Experience

- Four (4) or more years of experience in a comparable client-facing IT role.
- Experience working with structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Exposure to moderately complex healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or research environments preferred.
- Demonstrated history leading discussions and documenting resulting business and/or technical requirements, user stories and process flows.
- Experience translating business requirements to technical/system requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work with mid to senior-level business leaders.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with mid- to senior-level business leaders.

Preferred Certifications

- Epic Optime.
- Epic Anesthesia.
- Additional Epic Clinical Application Certifications.

Level II:

Job Responsibilities

- Lead and actively participate in meetings with business teams to gather and understand business requirements.
- Analyze emerging business, system, and process needs; escalate complex issues when appropriate.
- Track and facilitate resolution of business requests and operational needs in coordination with IT teams.
- Support change management, project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Assist in the development of presentations, reports, and documentation for departmental stakeholders.
- Contribute to the optimization and standardization of business requirement gathering processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and vendors.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers within assigned areas of responsibility.
- Mentor team members and support training on established processes and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Minimum Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.

Minimum Experience

- Two (2) years of experience in a client-facing IT role.
- Experience working with structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience leading discussions and documenting business requirements, process designs, and reporting needs.

Preferred Certifications

- Epic Optime.
- Epic Anesthesia.

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $86,320 - $154,960 per year for the role of Clinical Applications Analyst (Level II OR Senior) - Epic Inpatient.
