Technical Product Manager - Terminal Application SDLC Tools

The Bloomberg Terminal is built on top of an internal technology platform that supports thousands of unique, mission critical financial applications with tens of millions of executions daily. The software development lifecycle (SDLC) tooling that underpins this platform enables hundreds of engineering teams to build, test, release, and operate software reliably, securely, and at scale. This role will be responsible for reimagining how Bloomberg engineers build and deliver Terminal applications by shaping the next generation of SDLC tooling, workflows, and integrations needed to support AI-enabled development, increased automation, and future-ready engineering practices. What’s in it for you We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to shape and execute the vision and roadmap for the SDLC tooling ecosystem that supports the Bloomberg Terminal. As a product manager, you will focus on the end-to-end developer experience across the software lifecycle, share ownership of the product roadmap for our internal development tools, and build new capabilities and integrations that empower engineering teams to move faster with confidence. You’ll be making decisions on how to evolve the develop, build, test, CI/CD, release, and product support workflows for the age of AI. You will work in a group of other highly motivated product managers that work on a range of adjacent projects around application development and platform enablement. You will interact very closely with internal stakeholders across product, infrastructure, and engineering. This is a high-leverage role in a very cross-functional environment, so you’ll need to be comfortable wearing many hats and balancing technical depth with business and operational priorities. We’ll trust you to Define the next-generation Terminal application SDLC tooling strategy, setting principles for automation, consistency, and AI-assisted development Shape standards, workflows, and tooling that improve developer velocity, software quality, and operational reliability across the Terminal ecosystem Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing transparency into roadmaps, dependencies, and prioritization decisions Advocate for and project manage wide-spread adoption of application SDLC best practices and tooling across engineering teams; measure adoption and impact Own processes for intake, evaluation, and prioritization of new tooling and workflow requests from engineering teams Balance competing needs – developer experience improvements, platform reliability, security requirements, and modernization efforts – to prioritize the backlog Review and prioritize development of and/or updates to relevant technical documentation, onboarding materials, and training resources You’ll need to have 7+ years of experience in technical product management or a senior engineering role Experience building or owning developer tools, internal platforms, or SDLC systems with engineers as your primary users A proven track record of collaboratively creating product visions and roadmaps, evaluating technical trade-offs, prioritizing at macro and micro levels, and managing releases The ability to work across teams to break down complex engineering and operational problems into achievable milestones Deep understanding of software development lifecycle best practices Organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate and work with engineers, SREs, security partners, other product managers, and senior management We’d love to see A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, similar field of study or equivalent work experience Familiarity with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and release automation tooling Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, agentic workflows, and emerging standards for AI integration in SDLC processes Experience with developer experience design, tooling observability, and measuring developer productivity and quality outcomes Open source involvement or community presence Salary Range = 140,000 - 295,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
