DESCRIPTION

Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Filtration and Separation Division as a Senior Field Applications Engineer based in Chile, where you'll provide technical expertise in industrial filtration and separation solutions to customers throughout Chile, Colombia, and Latin America (excluding Mexico and Brazil). Working at the intersection of product development, customer success, and technology innovation, you'll enable customers across food & beverage, oil & gas, microelectronics, and other industrial segments to integrate our advanced filtration and separation solutions into their manufacturing workflows.

In this customer-facing role, you'll work with the Filtration & Separation business cross-functional team (including Global Key Accounts) to drive growth through collaborations with customers and external industry experts throughout the region. You'll provide application engineering support throughout the lifecycle of our industrial filtration and separation product portfolio, develop and implement purification solutions, and ensure customers maximize the value of our technology while solving complex technical challenges.

As a trusted technical advisor, you'll become an area expert in industrial filtration and separation applications through extensive customer collaborations and elevate Thermo Fisher Scientific's visibility and reputation through joint publications, presentations, and industry participation. Your expertise will support customer-centric sales and marketing activities, champion product evaluations at customer sites, and directly contribute to Thermo Fisher's mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum 7 years of industrial filtration or fluid separation process development and/or manufacturing science and technology (MSAT) experience in a commercial environment
- Working knowledge of purification processes and industrial filtration technologies
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing technical solutions for industrial filtration and separation applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Strong business acumen and Customer-focused mindset with proven relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
- Current valid driver's license required (company vehicle will be issued)
- Available to travel up to 60% regionally throughout Chile, Colombia, and Latin America (excluding Mexico and Brazil) and 10% internationally with valid passport
- Experience with data analysis, process optimization, and workflow development
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions
- Track record of technical collaborations across internal and external organizations preferred
- Professional technical conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications preferred
- Experience with dissolved gas management highly desirable
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, materials science or related discipline preferred

Work Location: Remote, Chile
