About the Team

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook is available to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S. Fanatics Casino is currently available online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Fanatics Betting and Gaming operates twenty-two retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. Fanatics Betting and Gaming is headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.

Overview

Fanatics is seeking a motivated, team-oriented jurisdiction compliance analyst, based in Canada. The Jurisdiction Compliance Analyst will aid in the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of our regulatory legal and compliance framework as we expand operations into Canada in addition to supporting the broader Fanatics Betting & Gaming business.

The Jurisdiction Compliance Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, State Compliance within the Regulatory Affairs team. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business, including Legal, Product, Payments, Operations, and Responsible Gaming teams.

Responsibilities

- Become a compliance subject matter expert in multiple jurisdictions

- Track regulatory requirements and work with internal business teams to satisfy those requirements

- Assist business teams in developing procedures and processes to satisfy regulatory obligations

- Maintain and revise, as needed, the Company’s regulatory internal controls

- Build and maintain relationships with gaming regulators in multiple jurisdictions

- Assist with licensing, registration, and regulatory examination activities with applicable gaming authorities and regulators

- Monitor regulatory developments across jurisdictions and escalate relevant changes to stakeholders

- Support the preparation and maintenance of regulatory reporting obligations and compliance documentation

- Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and reduce compliance risk

- Effectively manage multiple projects with clear and consistent communication

- Support cross-functional teams during new product launches and market expansion initiatives

- Provide ongoing regulatory support and guidance across the business

Experience and Skills

- 2-4+ years of compliance, legal, or regulatory operations experience, preferably in the online gaming industry or other highly regulated industry

- Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks, including Ontario and Alberta gaming requirements, preferred

- Ability to exercise sound judgment, act independently, and become a subject matter expert on regulatory and legal requirements are of critical importance

- A team player willing to roll up their sleeves and work to build the leading digital gaming company in the market

- Strong analytical and drafting skills

- Experience communicating with senior management and government authorities

- Self-starter that enjoys a startup atmosphere

- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both internal and external stakeholders

- Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills

- Strong collaborator who works effectively both independently and cross-functionally

- Curious and fast learner, not afraid to dive into complex regulatory and operational challenges

Ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual offer is confirmed. Salary Range $60,000 — $73,000 CAD
