This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO) , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Aviation Logistician who will provide comprehensive logistics management for aviation ISR projects, supporting aviation operations and government-furnished equipment (GFE) valued between $20M–$30M. This role oversees full lifecycle (cradle‑to‑grave) logistics, including control, storage, overhaul, repair, and distribution of aviation components. The position requires frequent international travel to Latin America to support forward‑deployed sites, ensuring accountability, traceability, and mission readiness for aviation ISR activities.

What You Will Do

- Manage, maintain, and track aviation ISR GFE valued at $20M–$30M.

- Support aviation operations involving aviation platforms and associated ISR systems.

- Oversee cradle‑to‑grave logistics management, including procurement coordination, overhaul and repair tracking, and end‑of‑life disposition.

- Maintain strict control and full traceability of aviation parts, including compliant storage, accountability, and documentation.

- Implement and manage min‑max inventory controls at forward‑deployed locations and centralized storage facilities.

- Coordinate international logistics efforts, including export/import processes, customs compliance, transportation, and shipment tracking for operations in Latin America.

- Ensure full compliance with ITAR, EAR, and all applicable international and federal regulations.

- Utilize 10+ years of OEM vendor development and supplier management experience to support sourcing and sustainment of aviation ISR components.

- Support forecasting, procurement coordination, and long‑range logistics planning for aviation ISR projects.

- Work closely with maintenance, operations, and program management teams to ensure timely support for aircraft and ISR mission readiness.

- Serve as on‑site logistics lead during international deployments, resolving logistics gaps and ensuring continuous operational support.

What We Are Looking For

- 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience.

- 10+ years of aviation logistics experience, including OEM vendor development and aviation parts supplier management.

- 10+ years of experience supporting aviation programs and corresponding ISR systems.

- Strong background in aviation parts control, traceability, compliant storage management, and full lifecycle logistics.

- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to Latin America, including multi‑week assignments.

- Experience managing high‑value aviation GFE.

- Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and international shipping/export compliance.

- Clearance: Must posses and maintain an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret.

- Valid U.S. Passport.

- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

- Experience supporting DoD or federal aviation/ISR programs.

- Spanish language skills.

- Prior experience working in or supporting operations in Latin America.

- Familiarity with aviation logistics systems, inventory management tools, and government databases.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs; work in hangar, warehouse, and flightline environments; stand, walk, bend, and climb as needed; travel internationally for extended periods; and maintain the visual and physical capability required for inspecting and handling aviation parts.
