What this job involves:

As a Vice President in our Master Plan Advisory team, you will lead the delivery of master planning, feasibility, and due diligence engagements for clients across the Americas, spanning multiple product types and industries. Building on our "Concept to Creation" approach, you will guide project teams toward consensus-driven solutions that align with market realities, while growing our national platform through business development and team leadership. You will manage a portfolio of engagements and a team of project managers, ensuring exceptional client outcomes as we scale this business line.

What your day-to-day will look like:

- Lead and manage a national portfolio of master planning, feasibility, and due diligence engagements, overseeing site planning and entitlement approvals across multiple markets

- Direct delivery of master plan projects from inception to completion across sectors including Mixed Use, Education, Healthcare, Institutional, Industrial, and Life Sciences

- Oversee 2D/3D density studies, site test fits, and implementation plans, ensuring they reflect constructability realities and client objectives

- Provide senior oversight of zoning analysis and entitlement processes, engaging directly with jurisdictions and stakeholders where needed

- Lead and mentor a team of project managers and senior project managers, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and development

- Build and maintain senior client and stakeholder relationships, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnering with the business development team to develop client pursuit strategies, pitch effectively, and secure new engagements

- Drive a sales culture within the Master Plan Advisory team, including leading pursuit and cross-selling efforts across the broader PDS platform

- Collaborate with design teams, master planners, and infrastructure specialists to align technical solutions with client and market needs

- Oversee project financials across the portfolio, including budgets, cost forecasts, and adherence to financial targets

- Develop and implement project management strategies and methodologies that improve efficiency and consistency across the team

- Champion a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and belonging, both locally and globally, as we scale the business line

Required qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Master Planning, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, master planning, or development, including experience leading teams and managing complex, multi-market engagements

- Strong understanding of master planning, infrastructure design, entitlements, and jurisdictional approval processes

- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing project teams

- Demonstrated experience in business development, including pitching and securing new client engagements

- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial reporting across a portfolio of projects

- Excellent client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term senior relationships

- Availability to travel and support projects nationwide

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail

Preferred qualifications:

- Master's degree in a related field, such as an MBA or master's in urban planning or urban design

- Professional certifications, such as PMP, AICP, or LEED

- Experience with multiple jurisdictional zoning requirements and regulations

- Experience with community and stakeholder engagement

- Familiarity with brownfield assessment and compliance oversight

- Experience working in a global and matrixed organization

- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
