Responsibilities
- Create and maintain work instructions for assembly and packaging lines.
- Analyze production data and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, and downtime.
- Develop setup sheets, work instructions, and machining procedures.
- Analyze workflow and recommend layout and process improvements.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in creating work instructions.
- Experience in lean manufacturing and process improvement.
- At least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering.
- Ability to manage a project from beginning to end.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Experience in fixture design is a plus.
- Experience in assembly and packaging.
Work Environment
The role demands a proactive approach in a dynamic manufacturing setting where Lean Manufacturing principles are applied. The candidate will engage with advanced technologies and equipment, ensuring the efficient operation of assembly and packaging lines.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
