About the opportunity

Our Corporate and Commercial team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our Ōtautahi office.

This is a great opportunity for a lawyer with three or more years’ experience in corporate or commercial law who is looking for interesting, high quality work and the opportunity to continue developing their career within a supportive and experienced team.

You’ll work alongside our Partners and wider team across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, shareholder and joint venture arrangements, business structuring, private equity and venture capital, commercial contracting, and general corporate and commercial advisory work.  You'll work with founders, investors, boards and established businesses on significant transactions across Aotearoa.

About you

You are admitted to practise in New Zealand and bring at least three years of post-qualification experience in corporate or commercial law. You have strong drafting skills and are confident working both independently and collaboratively, delivering high quality work that meets client expectations.

You take a commercially pragmatic approach to legal advice and communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues. You demonstrate sound judgement and problem solving ability, build positive working relationships, and are motivated to continue developing your technical capability and professional skills.
