About this role
General Purpose:
Main responsibility is for managing the sales, service and overall operations of a branch location. Focuses on solidifying member relationships and retention through impeccable member service. Also responsible for developing and growing new business and maintaining existing business in the branch.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the daily operations of the branch and ensure that procedures and practices are followed and in alignment with credit union expectations.
- Develop a team of highly motivated, results-oriented individuals through effective leadership practices; ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain efficient team performance.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with business partners through regular, consistent contact with key personnel. Builds strong rapport with business partners representatives through phone, email, and personal visits.
- Professionally represent the credit union at all times.
- Conduct and document individual monthly coaching/mentoring sessions to develop sales skills, review goal progress and skill development needs.
- Hold regular meetings with branch staff discussing daily/weekly/monthly activity plans, success stories and developmental needs.
- Direct and coordinate programs, projects, and activities in assigned branch.
- Coordinate, monitor, maintain knowledge and ensure compliance for IRA’s, Loans, Wire Transfers, OFAC, deposit, and all products/services and policies.
- Ability to open and close the branch, when needed.
Other Duties:
- Complete and submit weekly sales plan documenting weekly results to VP Service and Sales.
- Develop and access strategies to generate feedback on new ideas to improve service effectiveness of the branch on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for proper and timely deposit of credit union funds.
- Manage the branch office with responsibility for its overall physical maintenance and security.
- Research and resolves member problems and complaints.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Job Requirements (Knowledge/Abilities):
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and credit union's service philosophy.
- Thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.
- Thorough knowledge of credit union's in-house computer system.
- Thorough knowledge of credit union deposit and lending functions.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide courteous and professional service to members.
- Ability to supervise, organize, train, and evaluate staff.
- Demonstrated sales ability and capacity to encourage sales functions through professional leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of safety and security program for false alarms, robberies, bomb threats and extortion.
Job Requirements (Education/Experience):
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Management experience preferred.
- Financial Service experience normally acquired through at least 5 years working in a Lending/Customer Service capacity in a Financial Institution.
Working Conditions:
The credit union is committed to working with its employees to reasonably accommodate them with the physical aspects of the position. The working conditions are general business office with daily member contact, interaction with volunteers and management. Other working conditions include sitting for extended periods of time, frequent up/down motion, reaching downward or overhead from sitting position, stooping, bending and pushing/pulling, climbing some stairs, lifting and moving moderately heavy items and repetitive keyboard typing.
