What’s the opportunity?

Play a key role in shaping the future of one of Australia's largest gold mining operations. As our Structural Engineer , you'll deliver a diverse portfolio of capital and sustaining projects across fixed plant, infrastructure and operational assets, helping improve safety, reliability and site performance across Cowal Gold Operations. From major steelwork upgrades and infrastructure improvements through to site wide engineering initiatives, you'll see your work make a visible and lasting impact.

Working a lifestyle friendly 5:2/4:3 roster, you'll enjoy the balance of a residential role in West Wyalong while contributing to projects that support the long-term success of the operation.

Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll:

- Deliver structural capital and sustaining projects that improve safety, reliability and operational performance across site.

- Develop practical engineering solutions from concept through to execution, creating lasting value for the operation.

- Lead contractors, consultants and project teams to deliver work safely, on schedule and within budget.

- Provide technical guidance and support across structural engineering projects and operational improvements.

- Identify opportunities to improve asset performance, infrastructure reliability and engineering standards.

- Strengthen capability across the engineering team through technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Does this sound like you?
You'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex engineering problems and delivering practical outcomes in an operational environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (or equivalent).

- Experience delivering structural, infrastructure or industrial engineering projects from concept through to execution.

- Experience within mining, resources, heavy industry, manufacturing, energy or a similar environment.

- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and contractor management capability.

- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering compliance requirements.

- Strong communication skills and a commitment to Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect.

Nice to have:

- National Engineering Registration or eligibility for Chartered Engineer status.

- Experience in structural steel design, inspection, remediation or integrity management projects.

- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam and financial project evaluation
