Laser Operator I - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift Laser Operator Pay & Skill Levels: Our Laser Operator position is structured in three skill-based tiers, with starting pay determined by your qualifications and experience. Laser Operators have the opportunity to advance to the next tier by developing the required skills, demonstrating proficiency, and meeting the qualifications outlined for that level. This opportunity is available on second shift: 2pm-12:30am, M-Th.

Laser Operator I - $34.81

- Ability to operate laser for sheet metal fabrication

- Ability to use nesting software per machine

- Ability to set up and run one laser proficiently

- Can perform centering, lens cleaning, focus test without supervision

- Load material safely without supervision

- Utilize technology for processing jobs and communication (Clocking, Inventory, Job Completion)

- Assist in training employees in the work center with current knowledge base

- Mandatory overtime when business conditions require it

- Adherence to the attendance policy

- All other duties as required

Laser Operator II - $37.95

- All duties required by Laser Operator I

- Can run both the table laser and tube laser proficiently

- Can diagnose and repair small issues without supervision

- Ability to nest with both lasers and is proficient in training and helping setup and coordinating work in the work cell

Laser Operator III - $41.37

- All duties required by Laser Operator II

- Responsible for the Reliability Centered Maintenance of the lasers

- Directs contractor maintenance for major repairs

- Programs sheets using Radan software

- Responsible for Quality Management System for the lasers

- Operates laser to its full capabilities and optimizes for improvements

- Build training program and documents for Amada laser

- Responsible for training Laser Operators

- Manages inventory supply of laser

Qualifications

Are you qualified?

- Experience in a similar role is required

- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work well with others.

- Excellent organizational skills for maintaining inventory levels and stock management.

- Problem-solving skills for resolving shipping discrepancies and customer issues.

- Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check as a prerequisite of employment.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (75-100+ lbs.) and perform various physical tasks such as bending, stooping, sitting, walking, twisting, and standing regularly. Must have good dexterity to operate hand tools and paint sprayers and must also have normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
