AWS Cloud Architect

we are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Cloud Architect, This role requiring both architecture leadership and strong engineering execution capabilities.

We are looking for a candidate who can design enterprise-scale cloud solutions and translate architecture into working implementations through automation and modern engineering practices.

The successful candidate will help shape cloud strategy, architecture standards, security controls, governance framework, and cost optimization initiatives while working closely with application teams, CloudOps, SRE, DBA, security, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate should possess strong AWS expertise with practical experience in cloud-native technologies, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud security, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

· Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native architectures for enterprise and digital workloads.

· Define and maintain cloud reference architectures, reusable patterns, and engineering standards.

· Review solution architectures and provide recommendations on:

o Scalability

o Reliability

o High availability

o Performance

o Security

o Cost optimization

· Drive adoption of AWS cloud best practices across projects and platforms.

· Partner with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.

· Support cloud transformation initiatives and modernization programs.

Engineering Execution

We are looking for a candidate with strong hands-on engineering capabilities who can transform architecture into working solutions.

Responsibilities include:

· Design and implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.

· Build and manage AWS infrastructure and services including:

o EC2

o ECS

o EKS

o Lambda

o ELB

o RDS

o EFS

o FSx

o S3

o KMS

o Secrets Manager

o EventBridge

o CloudWatch

· Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using:

o CloudFormation

o Terraform

· Develop scripts and automation using:

o Python

o Ansible

o Bash

o PowerShell

· Implement and support container-based deployments and orchestration platforms.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues across production and non-production environments.

· Participate in root cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.

Cloud Security Governance

· Ensure solutions comply with cloud security and governance standards.

· Design and implement secure cloud architectures following security best practices:

o Least privilege access

o Encryption at rest and in transit

o Secrets management

o Identity and access controls

· Implement and support cloud security controls including:

o IAM

o KMS

o CloudTrail

o GuardDuty

o Security monitoring

o Network security controls

· Collaborate with Security and Risk teams to address audit findings and compliance requirements.

Support governance initiatives including policy implementation and cloud guardrails

Requirements

· 7 – 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering roles.

· Strong hands-on expertise with AWS core services including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, ELB, RDS, EFS, FSx, S3, KMS, Secrets Manager, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and IAM.

· Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, routing, and security controls.

· Solid understanding of container-based deployments, orchestration, and lifecycle management.

· Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell.

· Strong experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as GitLab, CloudFormation, and Terraform.

· Proven ability to design and implement scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-optimized architectures.

· Good understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM, encryption, secrets management, and access controls.

· Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across different levels, including engineers, architects, and management teams.

Preferred Qualifications

· AWS certifications such as:

o AWS Solutions Architect

o AWS DevOps Engineer

o AWS Security Specialty

· Experience with AWS AI services such as Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, AgentCore, or other Generative AI capabilities.

· Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms.

· Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch.

· Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS and OCI).

- Experience working in high-availability or regulated environments.
