About the team :

Our Slovak team at PwC Advisory s.r.o., mainly based in Bratislava, works closely with PwC Germany as a nearshore consulting team supporting transformation projects in the financial services sector. We bring together strong German language capabilities, consulting skills, and understanding of banking, insurance and other FS domains.

We have been fully & seamlessly integrated with PwC Germany but you will also be part of the Slovak technology consulting team and will have the opportunity to be involved in activities in both countries.

As a Senior Business Consultant– Technology Consulting (German Projects), you will work on transformational projects for clients in the financial sector, especially banks, insurance companies, and investment firms primarily in Germany.

Job description & summary

As a  Senior Business Consultant, you will take a key role in the analysis, design, coordination, and delivery of digital and technology‑enabled transformation projects.

You will work closely with senior client stakeholders and IT teams, translating complex business needs into clear, structured requirements and solution designs. In addition to hands‑on analytical work, you will actively contribute to delivery planning, project governance, and stakeholder alignment in agile or hybrid environments.

You are expected to take ownership of workstreams, support decision‑making, and contribute to successful project outcomes while gradually growing into broader leadership responsibilities.

Imagine working on projects like:

- Digital Lending & Customer Journey Transformation - You redesign end-to-end lending processes, from customer onboarding and credit assessment to loan servicing. You identify pain points, define business requirements, create future-state process models, and ensure seamless integration between banking applications. The solutions you design improve customer experience, reduce operational costs, and accelerate loan processing times across the organization.
- Core Banking Modernization & Platform Transformation - You help banks replace legacy core banking platforms with modern, cloud-ready solutions. You analyze current processes, gather business and regulatory requirements, define target-state operating models, and bridge communication between business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams. Your work directly shapes how the bank will operate for the next decade.

Requirements of the role

- Completed university degree in Economics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Engineering, or a comparable field; interdisciplinary backgrounds (business combined with technology, digital transformation, analytics, management, or communication) are welcome
- 3+ years of professional experience gained in consulting, technology consulting, or digital transformation initiatives, with exposure to banking, insurance, or other regulated industries, either in functional or project‑based roles
- Proven experience in delivery‑oriented roles, including Business Analyst positions, project governance or agile transformation initiatives, product or service coordination, and consulting roles with strong stakeholder interaction across business and IT
- Strong experience in stakeholder‑facing roles, with confidence in working across business and IT teams at different seniority levels
- Solid understanding of, or strong interest in, technology-enabled business transformation, including business and data analytics, automation, agile delivery, digital platforms, software development lifecycle, and IT-supported business processes.
- Ability to analyze, structure, and simplify complex topics and translate them into actionable outcomes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in international and cross‑functional teams
- Experience using German at B2-C1 level and English at C1 level in a professional environment
- Proactive, responsible working style with willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
- Strong learning mindset and willingness to continuously develop professional and consulting skills.
- Proactive approach to using AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Power BI, etc.) and digital technologies to improve efficiency, support informed decision-making, solve complex problems, and embrace continuous learning in a rapidly evolving workplace

Salary: From 2 000 EUR gross/monthly

(The stated salary represents the minimum for this position. Final compensation is determined individually based on your experience, expertise, seniority, and overall profile. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus linked to individual results and the company’s success.)
