About this role
What you'll do
- Design and build responsive, accessible UI features using React and TypeScript
- Own frontend features from design through deployment, including monitoring in production
- Familiarity with state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API) and CSS frameworks (Tailwind, etc.)
- Collaborate with backend engineers to define clean API contracts
- Work with designers to turn mockups into polished, production-ready interfaces
- Write unit and integration tests, and participate actively in code reviews
- Optimize application performance and address usability issues
- Debug and resolve production issues as part of an on-call rotation
What we're looking for
- 1–2 years of professional coding experience
- Strong fundamentals in data structures and object-oriented programming
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React (or a comparable modern framework)
- Solid HTML/CSS skills and understanding of responsive design
- Working knowledge of SQL for reasoning about data the UI consumes
- Familiarity with AWS fundamentals (S3, CloudFront, or similar for frontend deployment)
- Demonstrated coding ability through past projects, internships, or coursework
- Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code and take feedback well in code review
Nice to have
- Experience with Node.js, enough to work across the stack when needed
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and frontend build tooling
