MTS creates machines used to test and develop the world's newest materials, from high strength metal alloys to composites and the components made from them. Our customers develop these materials for extreme applications requiring unique test conditions, such as very high or cryogenic temperatures.

We're looking for an Electrical Product Engineer to support and deliver servo hydraulic motion controllers built to simulate these unique applications. Products include the MTS FlexTest controller, temperature controllers, electrical cables, Criterion and Acumen test systems, and application software. We're looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated engineer looking to start or continue their career with a company that supports long term career growth!

What You'll Do:

- Support projects in the Materials business group, defining FlexTest controllers for new systems and field upgrades to existing equipment
- Create documentation for Operations to build and test controllers, and support Field Service Engineers at customer sites
- Provide quote support to the Applications Engineer/Sales team for new opportunities, including reviewing quotes for accuracy before customer presentation
- Work with Applications and Sales Engineering to make corrections to quotes as needed
- Develop bills of materials and drawings for new controller systems and upgrades
- Work with vendors on specifications, schedule, and cost to support projects, products, and quote opportunities
- Coordinate with mechanical and software engineering teams to deliver complete system solutions
- Support new product development programs with electrical content, including product definition, prototype builds, integration, and launch support
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to installation and quote quality
- Monitor and engage with manufacturing, system assembly, and checkout operations as needed
- Provide technical support for the FlexTest product
- Apply electrical engineering principles and standards to support solutions

What You Bring:

- 4 year degree in Electrical Engineering or related program
- Open to recent graduates, industry experience a plus
- Strong analytical thinking with a ground up approach to problem solving
- Strong interpersonal skills and an eagerness to learn
- Experience with servo hydraulic systems preferred
- Experience with SAP, AutoCAD Electrical, or other electrical engineering CAD software preferred
- Experience in an engineering related position, automation and controls, or as an experienced Field Service Engineer or Electrical CAD professional preferred

Compensation Information:

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 - $115,000 based on relevant education and experience.
