The Opportunity:
Creates FEMA-compliant assessment documentation, templates, reports, and briefings; supports project reporting and Section 508 compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Work Location: Washington, DC (currently hybrid)
•            Draft and maintain system assessment templates, scoring rubrics, interview guides, and data call artifacts.
•            Prepare Draft/Final System Assessment Profiles, dependency/integration matrices, modernization recommendations, and Final Assessment Report.
•            Ensure documentation aligns with FEMA standards, privacy/records requirements, and Section 508 accessibility.
•            Support weekly/biweekly progress reports; coordinate review cycles and incorporate Government comments into final deliverables.

Qualifications:

Required: 
•            Ability to obtain DHS EOD
•            8+ years technical writing in federal IT programs
•            Expertise producing structured deliverables and applying accessibility standards

Desired:
•            Experience with DHS/FEMA documentation templates
•            Background as project coordinator or deputy PM

Pay Range :

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$84,900 - $178,400
