Responsibilities:
- Managing a more complex caseload of automobile liability claims and general liability claims.
- Mentoring more junior members of the Casualty Team
- Analyzing insurance policies and contracts to ensure accurate coverage determinations
- Utilizing internal and external resources to investigate facts of loss with the purpose of accurately documenting liability and to rule out fraud
- Creating appropriate reserves and expense recommendations for management when appropriate
- Monitoring vendor usage and controlling expense costs
Qualifications and Skills:
- Over 5+ years of experience handling bodily injury claims
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrates a strong learning mindset, quickly adapting to new systems, processes, and claim practices.
- Multi-State licensed
- Solid interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and collaborate in a team environment
- Familiarity with multi-state claims regulations a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
